Mental health

Being a chatty, funny girl who speaks about a lot of things and is open to so many new ideas/topics, but has hard time when it comes to talking about her issues. Yup, I am talking about myself. Being self-contained makes you overthink a lot and this creates so many problems that are not actually there. At some point your mind becomes your enemy. Personally it is one of the worst things that can happen to you. And the thing that it is a mental problem makes it even harder. We live in a society when most of the time we talk about being "strong" and too often we forget that WEAKNESS IS A FEELING TOO. Being weak is okay too. We push ourselves to the limit, we drove ourselves into this mental health problems, we put our last bits of energy into our job, homework, our friends, trying to fit into this life, trying to be "strong", to look good, we fake smiles to the point when it crashes us. At least that's what happened to me.

Ignoring your mental health problems does not make them disappear. Yeah you might feel good because you went to the party, or because you've got the most amazing smelling perfume, or you've got an A, because you've spent your whole night studying, but after a while your mental health will speak up. And I am not saying that these are not important, no way, please don't get me wrong, what I'm saying is when you try to shut it down with keeping yourself busy, buying new things, etc it might go silent for a little bit, and you might forget about it for a while, but the issue is still there. You might listen to a song, or see something that's related to it and you will instantly remember your problem.

The point of this is to take your time and take care of your mental health. Think about it, try to understand why you're feeling it, try too look at it from a positive side of view, sounds so lame, but if you wouldn't you'll create more problems and that wouldn't help this situation. Forget the past, all the things you've done, or in my case haven't done because of the mental health issues, forget all of the opportunities that you've lost because of again of this issues. Start from a blank page. Start a new chapter. Don't blame yourself for the past, understand and stop judging yourself for acting a certain way. You were feeling a certain way at that exact moment, and even if what you did was wrong, because you've done it that way IT'S RIGHT. Even if you haven't done something that was right, YOU"RE STILL RIGHT. Don't blame yourself for anything that's happened in the past. MOVE FORWARD. Create new things, create new memories, create new you. Go for adventures, take yourself on a date, take care of yourself and take care of your mental health and mental problems too. They are important. And please don't push them away to the point when they will break you.

This post is written based on my feelings and my mental health issues during the last couple of months. Here are my feelings and if it offends anyone I am so sorry from the bottom of my heart. I don't wanted to share anything but POSITIVITY. Please don't judge me, because I am trying to make my best. Take care of yourself and your surroundings.

Much love, Annie <3

  3. I'm definitely guilty of doing things to mask my mental health issues. Sometimes it makes me feel better, but I'm always struggling and realise I need to address it properly. Such a great and brave post lovely!

  4. Thank you for speaking up! I wish more and more people would do this!!

I actually had a very tough time this past week and I was lucky enough to be able to talk with my best friend about it because I was getting really scared about the situation. No one really knows the struggle.

Wishing you all the very best,
