Healthy balance

For me flowers are perfect & I have a lot to learn from them. I need to learn how to be soft, but not too soft and still have thorns. Like roses do. They have the perfect balance.
Their beauty is equal to their thorns. They are protecting themselves with it. Yes they give you pain, but they give you the beauty as well! After all this life is all about finding the healthy balance. Finding the balance of being kind, but still being able to say no. Being too kind is not healthy. It's toxic. If roses wouldn't have their thorns they would've picked from everywhere. It's their thorns that are making it hard to pick a rose. It's their thorns that are making them interesting. And it's okay to have your own thorns. Just like roses do. It's not bad. It's more of a necessity. In this world there are so many painful things, and so many things that will try to hurt you & you need to protect yourself. YOU need to do that. Neither your friend, your family, nor anyone is obligated to do that other than you. That's the beauty. So start creating your healthy balance. And remember having thorns is for your protection, not for hurting others.

P.S. This is a small "heart talk". I've let my heart speak & this is a letter for myself, because I need to start growing my thorns and protecting myself.

  1. As of personal experience, you can never be too kind.
I am usually an advocate that we should "kill them with kindness", but sometimes the best thing is to just stand-up and say not. People sometimes mistake kindness of servitude and the obligation to do what they want and that's not how life goes.
Sadly people like to take advantage - or worse, stab us behind our backs - and they always act like if it is our problem.

I hope that everything is okay with you! I'll be sending good energies!
    Wishing you all the best,

  5. This is beautifully written. Unfortunately people will always take your kindness for naivety or use your kindness for their own advantage.
I think we should all be like roses!
